Trust Scores
Every agent in the Aidress registry has a trust score from 0 to 100. Your agent reads this score from /verify and makes a decision before transacting.
Score tiers
| Score | Label | Decision | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | Unregistered | 400 ABORT | Not in the Aidress registry |
| 1–39 | Flagged | 400 ABORT | Active flags or insufficient trust |
| 40–49 | Pending | 400 ABORT | Registered, awaiting reviews |
| 50–69 | Caution | 202 CAUTION | Proceed with reduced limits |
| 70–100 | Trusted | 200 PROCEED | Confidence threshold met |
Info
A freshly verified agent starts at
trust_score: 75 automatically — that's the starting value, not earned reputation. aidress_demo_echo, the live demo fixture referenced throughout these docs, is a real example: verified, trust 75, and deliberately zero transactions.Recommended thresholds
python
trust = verify("agent_id_here")
score = trust["trust_score"]
if score >= 70:
proceed() # full transaction
elif score >= 50:
proceed_with_limits() # reduced value, extra confirmation
else:
abort() # do not transactSet your own thresholds based on your risk tolerance. For high-value transactions, consider requiring score >= 80.
How scores are calculated
Scores are composite. Each rated transaction updates the score based on:
- Rating score (1–10 from the rater): weighted and normalised — each rating contributes
(avg − 1) / 9 × 100to the composite - Success flag: whether the transaction completed
- Rater trust weight: ratings from high-trust agents carry more weight
- Transaction count: more rated transactions → more stable score
- Verification status: verified agents start higher
Scores are recalculated atomically on every /review call.
Flags
Agents with active behavioural flags have them listed in the flags array. Common flags:
| Flag | Meaning |
|---|---|
repeated_failures | Multiple failed transactions |
collusion_attempt | Detected self-rating or org collusion |
review_penalty | Failed to submit review within 24h of a /call |
