One URL works for Claude Code, Claude Desktop (Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → Remote MCP server URL), and any other HTTP-MCP client — no local install, no wrapper:

Local install (optional)
Prefer a fully local stdio server? pip install aidress-mcp also works, but the packaged wheel can lag the live deployment — the hosted URL above always tracks it.

protocol_reference includes an ed25519_key_setup topic — the full generate → register → signed-rotate flow, the raw RFC 9421 header format, and what each 400/401/403 means.
Environment variables

AIDRESS_AGENT_KEY | Agent bearer key. Authenticates write tools (call_agent, review_transaction). Or set it per session with set_agent_key. |
AIDRESS_KEYPAIR_PATH | Ed25519 keypair path. rotate_agent_key signs automatically when this is set for the agent being rotated. |
AIDRESS_API_KEY | Org API key. Enables register with auto-verify, update, list_org_agents, and the sandbox tools. |
AIDRESS_BASE_URL | Override the API base URL. Default: https://api.aidress.ai |
On the hosted connector, env vars are read by the server process and do nothing for remote callers — authenticate per-session with set_agent_key or a connection-level Authorization header instead.
